Brighton Surf Life Saving Club hosted the inter-club surf life saving competition at Paddle Round the Pier on Saturday 6 July.
The Paddle Round the Pier Festival enables us to showcase our surf life-saving skills in a day, which includes surf races, board races, board rescue and board relays.
Our club also provided all the water safety cover for both days of the Paddle Round the Pier festival including all the pier to pier swim race, the big paddle, paddle something unusual, and doggie paddle world record.
We had over 50 children and adults taking part in the competition and over 35 of our club
members involved in the water safety cover of the event including lifeguards and IRBs.
It was a fantastic couple of days and an amazing team effort from all competitors, parents, water safety team and the club as a whole.
